First Home Owners Grant increased up to$21,000.00Prime Minister Kevin Rudd announced today that the First Home Owner’s Grant would be increased from the current level of $7,000.00 to:
$14,000.00 to purchase an existing property
or
$21,000.00 to purchase a newly constructed property
These changes are part of the Government’s $10.4 Billion Stimulus Plan and are EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY !!! and will expire on the 30th June 2009.
First Home Owners also benefit from paying NO STAMP DUTY for properties up to $500,000.00 and NO MORTGAGE DUTY.
