GE Money have announced that from the 1st March – 31 May the Deferred Administration Fees (Early Payout Penalties) will be waived on all GE Money Home Loans (excluding Wizard Home Loans).
Since GE Money withdrew from the Australian lending market their customers have incurred higher interest rates as GE Money did not pass on the benefits of the recent RBA interest rate reductions. Many GE Money customers have sought to refinance to a cheaper Home Loan with other lenders, however, the excessive GE Money exit penalties (DAF) have prevented a great number from doing so.
GE Money have announced that this is only a temporary reprieve for customers and those who wish to refinance their Home Loans should act promptly prior to the fees being reinstated.
