The smaller players in the Lending Market (e.g. Building Societies, Credit Unions & Mortgage Managers) are taking the fight to the “Big Banks” by offering great discounts off their Home Loan Interest Rates and Fees.
As a result the “Big Banks” are being forced to negotiate to match or beat these offers to retaintheir existing customers.
The Banks, however, are not overly keen for the public to become aware that they are able to negotiate, and as a result most borrowers are continuing to pay more than they need to.
